About this place
Just a short walk from Kashimada Station on the JR Nambu Line, Sumibi Yakitori Enya lights up around dusk to offer charcoal-grilled skewers and casual pub snacks without pretense. In addition to classic chicken yakitori, the menu features creative bacon- and vegetable-wrapped skewers, including soft-boiled egg wrapped in bacon, Chinese chive wraps, and crisp lettuce roll-ups. A sturdy supporting cast of small dishes keeps meals interesting, spanning slow-cooked nikudofu (simmered beef with tofu), beef offal stew, and simmered chicken, through to nostalgic touches like ketchup-seasoned spaghetti Napolitan and crisp fried chicken karaage.
The drinks list is designed to complement the savory grilled fare. Crisp Kaku Highballs cut cleanly through the richness of the skewers, joined by an appealing lineup for Japanese whisky enthusiasts: Hakushu Mori Kaoru Highball with its fresh herbal notes, light Suntory Chita Kaze Kaoru Highball, and the smooth, subtly sweet Yamazaki Premium Highball. The tap serves The Premium Malt's with velvety microfoam, alongside beer cocktails like tomato beer, fresh lemon sours, Otoko Ume plum sours, and Hoppy.
Whether stopping by alone for a quick skewer and a drink at the counter or gathering around shared plates with friends, the izakaya offers an easy, welcoming rhythm. With a smoky skewer fresh off the grill and a chilled glass in hand, it is an inviting place to unwind for the evening.
